At 5 pm BST, the Xbox Games Showcase will be streamed, and it promises to hold many gaming delights for fans of Microsoft’s next-gen console, the Xbox Series X.
On July 17, we reported on the Xbox Wire blog post from Aaron Greenberg, the GM of Xbox Games Marketing, in which he told audiences to expect the event to focus on gaming content. This will include “world premieres and updated looks at some of the games we’ve already revealed,” and the “first-ever look at campaign gameplay from Halo Infinite.”
The hype-train for Halo Infinite was given even more steam recently when Xbox revealed the game’s box art on Twitter. This post also seems to have confirmed rumours about grapples featuring in the gameplay.
Time is running short, so the only thing left to do is find out where you can watch the event. Don’t worry, we’ve got you:
YouTube
Likely to be the main location viewers will be heading to, YouTube will be hosting the stream in 1080p/60fps.
Twitch
Twitch, the beloved streaming capital of the digital world, will also be hosting the stream. Here will also be a good place to check in with your favourite streamers to see if they are running any live reaction streams.
Twitter and Facebook
The two social media sites Facebook and Twitter will also be streaming the event via Xbox’s official account. It’s no surprise that Facebook is included, given Microsoft’s recent deal with Facebook Live and the closure of Mixer.
Can’t watch the event live?
If you can’t make the live stream, a 4K VoD will be posted immediately after the event.
