Who is behind the site?
Two teams are working on What’s The Best: one dedicated to tech, the other to fitness.
Our tech team comprises dedicated electronics fanatics, each with specialist passions from retro gaming to custom PCs, cameras to record players and more. Between the team, decades of experience and passion are ready to be leveraged when compiling round-ups and reviews of consumer technologies.
It’s a similar story with our fitness writers, each with a particular area of expertise and broader knowledge of health, exercise and nutrition. Among our fitness team, we can count strength training, Pilates, running, kayaking and climbing among our interests. They have the know-how, ready to be harnessed when crafting comprehensive round-ups and reviews of our health and fitness coverage.
We also work with contributors and third-party experts to help us assemble accurate articles when required. Typically, this is when we encounter an essential subject that exceeds our knowledge - for example, with our resistance guide training, we enrol the support of qualified personal trainers. At the same time, we have sought the opinions of professional dietitians to help verify our nutrition content. This helps us ensure that we provide our readers with the most accurate information possible and gives readers peace of mind that the information can be trusted.

How do we test products?
When experts test a product, they adopt it into their lives and test it inside out. We don’t rush our tests either, and it’s not unusual for them to last upwards of three weeks.
What testing actually entails varies from item to item. At the end of a review, our experts will provide details on how they tested an item.
You can read more on the How We Test page.
Do you make affiliate commissions?
We work with various affiliate partnerships and may receive a commission for purchases made through our links. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases.
How does this impact your editorial work?
Our affiliate partnerships do not impact the product choices we make or the reviews we write. There is no pressure on our editorial team to choose particular products or brands; we won’t recommend a product we don’t believe in. The products will speak for themselves when you invest in them.
