Starfield, the first new IP from Bethesda in 25 years, will be arriving on 11th November 2022. The game will be an exclusive Xbox title, playable on Xbox Series X|S, PC and Xbox Cloud Gaming. Starfield will be available to Xbox Game Pass members on day one, free of charge.

Given the leak earlier in the day, this wasn’t the biggest surprise, however.

This news was announced right away during the Xbox + Bethesda Games Showcase, with the studio’s Todd Howard leading the introduction. What follows was a cinematic trailer, watch it below now:

Starfield is an RPG set roughly 100 years in the future, and deals with a, as Howard puts it, “hope and shared humanity”. The trailer seems to suggest that humanity has come to some form of a monumental and defining point in its existence: “the beginning of humanities final journey”. We’re looking forward to discovering what this game has to offer when it launches on 11th November 2022.

We will have more news on where to pre-order as soon as available.
