Sony has released two new Bravia smart TVs, and they are both pitched as ‘Ready For PlayStation 5’. The Sony Bravia X90H and Z8H are carrying features that seem more than up to the task of handling the next-gen console’s power.

The Sony Bravia X90H offers gaming at 4K resolution and 120fps, with a low input lag of just 7.2ms. Full array LED and X-tended Dynamic Range will help provide “lifelike contrast” and help the colour maintain an accurate and true-to-life hue, while Sony’s X-Motion Clarity will work to smooth and reduce blur.

Careful consideration has been given to maximise the in-built audio performance, too. Sony has included Acoustic Surface Audio™ technology, which pushes the sound directly from the screen, and S-Force Front surround, a virtual surround sound system that reproduces the audio experience a multi-speaker system.

Prices starting from £1,299
