Seemingly out of the blue, Nintendo Direct Mini was announced, promising a quick showcase of a few up-and-coming games from Nintendo’s partners.
What is a Nintendo Direct Mini? Nintendo Directs are presentations where the company updates fans on upcoming games and franchise updates. A Mini is just a short version of this, focussing on games from the wider Nintendo-sphere.
The showcase was short and sweet, with a few new offerings, updates and DLC packs being announced.
Here’s what was included:
Cadence Of Hyrule
First up was the reveal of three new DLC packs for the roguelike rhythm-hit, Cadance Of Hyrule. The first pack includes new characters, including Shadow Link and Shadow Zelda. The second pack adds 39 songs to the games playlist, including remixes of fan-favourites. The third pack is the most substantial, adding new story content with Symphony Of The Mask, which sees players control Skull Kid on new maps.
The first DLC pack is live now, with the remaining two coming later in the year. A season pass is also available. A version of the game with all DLC included will be released on October 23.

Nintendo has since announced Rogue Company’s launch. It’s now available from the eShop.
WWE 2K Battlegrounds
Upcoming wrestling game WWE 2K Wrestling was shown, allowing some of the playful and caricature-like gameplay to be seen. The segment dedicated to the game also included four pro wrestlers playing the game to battle on-screen.
The game will be released on September 18.
Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne
Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne, a 2003 cult favourite originally appearing on PlayStation 2, is getting a HD remaster. The post-apocalyptic RPG is set to arrive in Spring 2021.
Shin Megami Tensei V
