Mario & Rabbids 2: Sparks Of Hope, the sequel to the tactical joint-venture between Nintendo and Ubisoft, has been accidentally leaked. By Nintendo. On its site.

This was an accident, clearly, as it has now been removed. Plus, it happened only a few hours before the Ubisoft Forward event at E3 2021. This does up the odds that Sparks Of Hope is due to be announced at this event. The original crossover title, Mario & Rabbids: Kingdom Battle, came out in 2017.

The listing on the Nintendo website stated a 2022 release and included several pictures. There was also a full description of the game, which read:

"Team up with Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Rabbid Peach, Rabbid Luigi, and their friends on a galactic journey to defeat a malevolent entity and save your Spark companions. Explore planets throughout the galaxy as you uncover mysterious secrets and compelling quests! Build your dream team with three heroes from an eclectic roster of nine.

Take down all new bosses, along with some familiar enemies throughout the galaxy. Rescue the adorable Sparks throughout the galaxy, who provide distinct powers that will help you in battle. Unleash your heroes' skills but be strategic as you dash your enemies, team jump on your allies, and hide behind covers.”

As we say, Mario & Rabbids 2: Sparks Of Hope is gone - for now. It might be back up later today, or the announcement might be coming as part of the Nintendo Direct on Tuesday, June 15th. This event may also be where we get to hear an update on Breath Of The Wild 2, the highly anticipated follow-up to the 2017 open-world original.
