Eidos-Montreal has turned the beloved Marvel franchise into a "single-player story-driven, action /adventure game", according to game developer Oliver Proulx.

Guardians of the Galaxy will be coming to PC, PlayStation and Xbox on October 26th 2021. The game is said to bring more options when it comes to social interactions than previous Eidos-Montreal games.

It's also pretty cool that you control Peter Quill, aka Star-Lord, and that you can issue commands during combat to the other Guardians. On that note, the relationships and narrative of the game will have an element of choice, meaning you'll have certain freedoms in creating your virtual world.

Although this isn't the first time Square Enix has ventured into Marvel, this third-person game is set to be pretty incredible.

The story is set quite a while after an intergalactic war, and Peter (you) will have the rest of the Guardians with him all throughout the game. It's also important to note that the characters are Eidos-Montreal's interpretations: they are separate from both the comic book and movie iterations.
