2021 looks set to be an exciting year for gaming. With Battlefield 2042, Forza Horizon 5, Halo Infinite and many more set to hit retailers this year, plus no doubt a few surprises from the upcoming EA Play Live, gamers have got a lot to look forward to.

The icing on the cake? The upcoming Call of Duty game, details of which look to have been leaked online.

According to Tom Henderson, who's well known in the world of gaming for his insider knowledge (like the potentially long delays for the release of GTA 6), Call of Duty 2021 has been updated on Battle.net with a new name: Call of Duty: Slipstream. A logo also accompanied the name change, which is definitely reminiscent of WWII.

It's not yet known if Slipstream is the official title or simply a project codename. Most people are leaning towards the latter. Call of Duty leaks are not uncommon, such as The Red Door, which became Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.

According to reports, the game will return to WWII and with this new reveal, could be taking to the skies. The project was previously titled Vanguard, and could be announced at the PlayStation State of Play event, rumoured to be taking place this summer.
