What's The Best has partnered with Parkers – the definitive resource for car buying advice in the UK – to bring you the award for the Best Small Van in its prestigious Van and Pickup Awards 2025.
The winner is a new entrant the category, with the all-new Ford Transit Courier taking the award at the first possible opportunity.
It might be the smallest vehicle in contention for the award, but it makes lots of its diminutive dimensions and provides a lot of practicality in an urban-friendly package. It's accessible for those who are not used to driving a commercial vehicle, thanks to it being easy to drive with a comfortable and convenient cabin.
Tom Webster, Parkers Vans and Pickup Editor, said: "The Ford Transit Courier is the other newcomer in this year's awards, and it arrives with significantly more space and practicality than the model it replaces. It drives fantastically thanks to its passenger car underpinnings and has a wide range of engines and trims to choose from."
The winners have been appraised rigorously by the Parkers.co.uk team, which judged the best in their class for a combination of value, quality, reliability, cost-per-month on finance deals and fitness-for-purpose. Finance was minutely evaluated, too.
The other winners included the Ford Transit Custom as the Best Medium Van while the Ford Ranger retained its hold on the Best Pickup truck title. The Renault Master was the other big winner, with the new model taking the Best Large Van and Best Electric Van categories on its way to being named the overall Van of the Year 2025.
The Van and Pickup Awards 2025 reflect the constantly evolving views of Britain's commercial vehicle-buying public. Winners are decided by a combination of the site's expert reviewers' verdicts in thousands of miles of road testing and the purchasing habits of the website's users, who have accounted for 26.4 million clicks and 1.01 billion page impressions in the past 12 months.
More details about the awards can be found on the Parkers website.
