EA and DICE had finally given gamers a look at how Battlefield 2042 will look with the first gameplay trailer.

Battlefield has always been about guns and immersive maps and Battlefield 2042 looks to be no different. The trailer is exactly what you'd expect of a first-person shooter and also showcases one of seven maps that will feature at launch.

It's been confirmed that the PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC version of the game will support 128 players per game with that number dropping to 64 on the PS4 and Xbox One. On the current systems, the maps will also feature dynamic changes caused by the in-game weather.

Several classic game modes have been confirmed, including conquest, while DICE has previously teased a new 'Hazard Zone' game type. Battlefield 2042 is also confirmed to be online only, with no single-player mode.

The game was first announced last week with a cinematic trailer and will launch on 22 October 2021 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, Xbox One and PC.
