Today, retailer Game opened preorders for the PS5 ahead of its imminent restock. Much like September 2020, these consoles were quickly claimed by only the quickest gamers and all stock has been allocated.

Game’s PS5 preorders opened at 10am, and a queue quickly implemented - the consoles were gone within the hour. Anyone who attempted to preorder the console pre-launch will know this situation all too well.

Though, understandably, so many gamers are keen to get their hands on a PS5, whether the standard or Digital version, there is some good news. As reported by Bloomberg, Sony plans to manufacture 10 million units this year - eventually, there will be more than enough to go around.

There are also reports and rumours from several UK retailers that there will be more stock of Sony PlayStation 5 arriving in February, including John Lewis, Currys PC World, Argos and Amazon UK.

It’s also likely that Smyths Toy Store, Very and AO.com will be receiving stock too. As soon as we know more, we will provide an update.

The majority of the chatter around these restock suggests that consoles will be available in the first week of February. Hopefully, these shipments signal the beginning of more settled levels of stock, following on from a hectic launch and the festive period.
