Verdict: Brazen has crafted a comfortable chair loaded with neighbour-waking sound. The Stag Gaming Chair is a great way to maximise the gaming experience.
The Review
Brazen is a British gaming chair manufacturer that has been designing gaming chairs for some time, and it’s clear that the Brazen Stag is forged with gamers in mind. But the Stag isn’t your typical gaming chair; it hasn’t been designed to help you sit at your PC, with your mouse and keyboard primed in the optimal positions. No, when you sit in this chair you are reclining - your hands are on your controller, and you’re ready to go into the game.
If console or controller gaming is your thing then you probably spend a lot of time sitting on your bed, sofa, or a beanbag, while you battle with your friends at 2 AM on ‘one last game’ of COD: Warzone. Yes, they are all comfortable places to game from, but could your seating position be limiting your gaming experience and your kill ratio? It’s entirely possible, so when we had a chance to test the Brazen Stag 2.1 Bluetooth Gaming Chair, it was not an opportunity we wanted to pass up.
The Stag was delivered packed very well in a single box, and there was a lot of effort put into protecting the contents. Building the chair was simple enough, taking around 20 minutes to put together with the supplied Allen key and screws. There are only six components to put together; the pedestal base, the mounting, the seat, the seatback, and the two arms. It all goes together very easily. Once it's together, the black, yellow, and white fabric is striking and gives out strong gamer vibes.

The Stag is a comfortable place to sit. One of our adult testers comes in at just under 6ft, and they had no trouble reclining back and locking into the game – though the wider set individual may find it a little snug. Thankfully, we also had a teenager at hand to give their opinion, and they were also more than happy to slouch into the chair for a few hours. The big circular base works to provide a stable footing, supporting any adrenaline-fuelled rocking. Although taller users may want to watch that they don’t top too far.
The inbuilt speakers sound great. We were a little sceptical, but there’s plenty of kick to the bass – if you like your neighbours, it’s probably best to give them the heads up before a late-night session. The sound is great for all audio types, and we were happy to listen to music, stream TV, or game through the chair’s speakers. It’s a real treat to have the audio by your ears without using a headset.
Connecting the chair to an audio source is simple. The Bluetooth works well for smartphones, but we’d recommend going for a cabled connection to the TV to ensure complete visual/audio synchronisation. There are two onboard dials too, allowing for on-the-fly volume and bass control.
A feature we came to value highly with the Stag is that it can fold flat, making it less obtrusive in a space and making it a little easier to move out of the way when not in use. (If you’re looking for a telling insight into one of our reviewer’s lives, it’s been noted that this flattened position also works wells as a coffee table.)
There’s very little to say against the Brazen Stag. If you’re particularly tall or wide, you may struggle to find the right position, but your average Joe or teenager should be just fine. The static armrests are partly at fault here, as a little bit of movement could help hold the elbows and correct seating position.
Brazen has managed to craft a comfortable chair loaded with neighbour-waking sound. It’s a great way to maximise the gaming experience.
