Salter 4-in-1 snack maker pros:
From being simple to set-up to its quick cooking times, this snack maker ticks all of the right boxes when it comes to kitchen appliances.
My favourite thing, and what you need to know about this snack maker, is that how versatile it is. If you wanted to, you could use this machine for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Waffle for breakfast, toastie for lunch and omelette for dinner.
As I'm working from home right now, this machine is literally my go-to for lunches. There's an incredible recipe included for strawberry, banana and hazelnut chocolate sandwich; it's a must try for anyone with kids or a sweet tooth.
Salter 4-in-1 snack maker cons:
With every product there have to be some downsides, right? And, for the Salter 4-in-1 snack maker it's that the bottom plate cooks quicker than the top plate. Especially when creating waffles, you'll notice one side is more golden than the other.
I also found that it was quite difficult to clean when food spilt out the side. This has happened twice when I've made mozzarella, pesto and tomato paninis, but I was able to scrub it off using a toothbrush.
Salter 4-in-1 snack maker verdict:
If I had to rate the Salter 4-in-1 snack maker, it would get 4 out of 5 stars from me. The reason that this kitchen appliance would score so highly is because of how versatile it is.
Rather than storing a waffle maker, toastie machine and a panini press in your kitchen cupboard, this does it all. From the moment you open it from the box, it's super easy to use. Simply wash the plates, heat the snack maker, and you're ready to go.

How to create potato waffles
This 4-in-1 snack maker from Salter has changed the way I have breakfast, lunch and dinner forever. One of my favourite ways to use this kitchen essential is creating waffles. And, not just any waffles - savoury waffles.
Fancy trying out some potato waffles for yourself? Follow my step-by-step guide to create your own tasty treat.
Ingredients:
• 600g of mashed potatoes
• 125g of grates cheese
• 65g plain flour
• 2 x eggs
• 4 tbsp melted unsalted butter
• 3 x bacon rashers
• ½ tsp salt
• ½ tsp pepper
• ½ baking power
• ¼ tps baking powder
• Pinch of chives
Based on a serving for two people.
Step one: Cook the bacon on medium heat in a frying pan for 2-4 minutes on each side. Once cooked, leave on a plate to cool.
Step two: Peel your potatoes then grate them into a bowl.
Step three: Put the waffle plates into your Salter 4-in-1 snack maker and plug it in. Leave this to heat up until the light turns green on top.
Step four: While your snack maker is warming up, cut up your now cold bacon into small pieces.
Step five: Mix butter and eggs in a large bowl, then add the grated potatoes, grated cheese, chives and bacon.
Step six: Once this is thoroughly mixed together, whisk in the rest of the ingredients.
Step six: Once you have lightly greased the machine, pour your ingredients into the waffle maker.
Step seven: Shut the lid and put a timer on for approximately 15 minutes. When the waffle is golden on both sides, it is ready to serve. Accompany the waffle with a teaspoon of sour cream on top with a light sprinkle of chives.
